Nick Mayall

Nick Mayall
Company name: The Minno
Company details: The major focus of application development for Minno is in the consumer space, with a specific leaning towards social collaboration. Originally focussing on the iPhone, and with modest published success in the App Store, Nick quickly realised that Apple is not the only game in town, so turned his attentions towards the other major players. Drawing on his network of contacts developed through years in industry he managed to interest some of the best and brightest in the field. Out of this has been born Minno; The Mobile Innovations Company...
Experience in developing: After nearly 15 years of software design, development, deployment, support and deconstruction for some of the worlds largest corporations, Minno's founder and CEO, Nick Mayall, decided that the time was right to head out into the wild blue yonder and turn his hand to what he believed to be a much more rewarding and technologically innovative pursuit. Namely, the development of cross-platform, fully functional, bespoke mobile applications. Nick's major experience in the software field has been with Microsoft technologies; being instrumental in the implementation of enterprise class VB6 and .NET applications for blue chip clients. His expertise also extends to the back-end with significant time spent developing in SQL on Microsoft, Sybase and Oracle platforms.
Expectation of Marketplace for you/your company: The smartphone market is a very fledgling one and the idea of a store, embedded on the device, is even earlier in its infancy. What I hope to get out of this is a foothold at the earliest stage that can be leveraged alongside great ideas and the drive to bring them to fruition, to produce a significant player in the mobile software industry. And toys; I LOVE playing with new toys!
