Where do you stand on Windows Internet Explorer 8?

Many developers and IT pros are commenting on IE8 and for the next few weeks we at Microsoft would like to know where you stand. We've sourced a range of opinions below - click agree or disagree and join in the IE8 debate.

  1. “The addition of the Accelerators to IE8 is an interesting one; if third-party developers produce more of these plug-in features, they may become a very effective way to extend the functionality of IE8 without recourse to upgrades and software updates.”

    Disagree Agree

    58% of participants agreed.

  2. “The user-facing function set of IE8 is now so close to those of Firefox, Safari and Chrome that it will not lose any more users to them.”

    Disagree Agree

    32% of participants agreed.

  3. “While it will be great to have a more standards-compliant IE in the market, I don't see version 8 as being particularly game changing. Most of what IE8 delivers, Firefox 3 or Safari already deliver. For users that are most comfortable with IE, or have personal preferences against the alternatives, this is, of course, a great update. For the rest of us... well, not quite enough...”

    Disagree Agree

    83% of participants agreed.
