Microsoft Australia is pleased to invite you to a 3 day Architect Workshop on Windows Azure Platform.
This 3-day training will give you, the Partner Solution Architect, the extensive skills you need to be successful
with customers when specifying Windows Azure Platform solutions and has the following objectives:
- Technically qualify in or out customer scenarios.
- Lead an effective ADS.
- Make informed architectural decisions for the cloud solutions based on based practices in areas such as cost,
scale and availability.
- Understand the impacts and best practices for ALM when developing cloud solutions.
- Work with a customer on the architectural design of key horizontal workloads.
- Gain awareness of approaches to answer common requests Microsoft has seen in Azure-centric customer
engagements.
Below is an outline of the training. We aim to cover many of the topics that Enterprise solution architects have been asking for over the previous months based on our surveys of Alliance Partners, internal MCS architects, and Windows Azure MVPs. This training also features 2 scenario based, case study activities which will help you put what you are learning into practice. You will be assessed during these activities for basic proficiency with the concepts. Please do bring along your own laptop for the class, making sure you have Visio and PowerPoint installed.
Prerequisite: The training has a prerequisite of passing the Microsoft Learning official Exam 70-583: Designing and Developing Windows Azure Applications. Taking the exam is at your own expense and details can be found here.
Finally, if you don’t manage to make this in person, we are recording these topics for on-demand viewing on MPN/PLC and WindowsAzure.com.
We look forward to your participation and your subsequent partnership in jointly solving our mutual customers business imperatives using cloud solutions and Windows Azure platform.

|
|
Activity: Technically Qualifying Deals |
11:00 – 12:30 |
|
This activity will have the architects in small groups to analyze 2 scenarios and identify ones that are good versus bad. They should also identify the questions that need to be asked to extract information that may be needed to finalize the decision. Groups should present the findings for discussion. |
|
